Matthew 28:18 (NLT), “Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.’”

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He declared that all authority both in heaven and on earth had been given to Him by the Father. He then immediately transferred that authority to the church. In Ephesians 1:22-23 it says that Jesus is the head of the church, and that we are His body. This means His authority must be activated through His body, that is on earth. The day is coming where that authority will leave the earth and with it, its restraining power over the evil one (2 Thessalonians 2:7). This happens when Jesus, our head, comes to catch away His church in the rapture. Until then, we are to live in a way that we act in the authority of Jesus - because we are His body. Understand, a head cannot exercise its authority apart from its body. Notice how Ephesians 1:22 says, “And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church”. We are the recipients of the authority and power of Jesus! Ephesians 2:5-6 says we are made alive together with Christ, and have been raised up together, and made to sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. This is not something He is going to do, it’s something He has already done. The act of God that raised Christ from the dead also raised His body. In the mind of God - Just as the head (Jesus) is seated in the heavenly place of authority, “…far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come;” the body (the church) has been seated with Him too (Ephesians 1:21). This is the transference of authority! If you ever doubted your right to walk in the authority of Jesus over the enemy and every demonic principality - this message should ground your faith in the truth! It’s time to enforce the defeat of the enemy and release the atmosphere of heaven wherever you go because Jesus’ authority must be activated through His church, while there is still time! (John 9:4).
