Hebrews 2:4 (NLT), “And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever He chose.”
A key to moving forward in experiencing the reality of God’s promises in our lives, is to trust His willingness and ability to watch over His Word to perform it. We must remember the Word is alive and impossible to fail. We must also remember that our responsibility is to know what it says and to apply its principles and wisdom to our lives. It’s essential for us to commit to the Word, before we see the results it will produce. Just like Abraham was fully persuaded to follow God and do whatever He said, before there was any evidence of the fulfilment of God’s promise - we must be prepared to do the same. When we do our part, we can be sure God has already taken care of His part. In Psalms 77:19, we read of how God’s footsteps had already marked the way for His people to walk through the Red Sea - long before they even got there! “Your road led through the sea, Your pathway through the mighty waters—a pathway no one knew was there!” Praise God! He has already made a way through every obstacle that comes between us and our answered prayer. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s [own] handiwork, recreated in Christ Jesus, that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” The key to see God’s Word produce for us, is our being sure to commit to what it says. As we trust and obey His Word - He always takes care to confirm and perform it in our lives.
