Hebrews 13:6 (AMPC), “So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?”
Jesus told us that in this life we will face some things that have the potential to shake us up. The Amplified Classic Version of John 16:33 says we will have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration. There’s no denying the tough times and challenges we will face in this fallen world. What’s important to note is that this is not a statement that stands alone. Jesus said that in the midst of all we will experience - we will have His perfect peace and confidence too! He said we don’t have to be moved into discouragement or fear when we face these troubles, because He will always have the answer we need to overcome them - when we answer with His Word. There may be times where we don’t know what to pray, but Romans 8:26-27 says we can pray in our heavenly prayer language, and the Holy Spirit will pray on our behalf. While we pray in the Spirit, with our minds engaged, a thought will come into our minds from our spirits that carries the wisdom we need. That wisdom can come in the form of a scripture that speaks to the situation, or an idea, or strategy, and it always brings a great sense of relief and peace. Whatever the need is - there is an answer from God for it. What we can be sure of is that when the Spirit of God releases that thought, it will always be aligned to His nature and His Word. God will never tell you to do something that violates His nature or truth. The more regularly we spend time meditating on God’s Word, the quicker we will recognize which thoughts are from His Spirit. Don’t let things upset or unsettle you, there is not one trial or challenge you will ever face in this life that God’s Word doesn’t not have an answer for.
