Ephesians 2:6 (AMPC): “And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”

Our identification with the resurrected Christ is the centre truth that has the power to transform and influence every area of our lives - so we can enjoy a reality of overcoming victory (2 Corinthians 2:14)!  At the point of our salvation, we were placed in Christ and our old, unrenewed selves died with Him. Then, the Bible teaches that we were made alive together with Christ (Ephesians 2:4)! That very same mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead raised us up together with Him! 1 Corinthians 6:17 says that we have become one spirit with Him! In fact, we have no existence outside of Him! Acts 17:28 says, “for in Him we live and move and have our being, … ‘For we are also His offspring.’”.  Here’s another beautiful truth for us to enjoy: Colossians 2:9-10 says, “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, Who is the head of all principality and power.”  What does this mean?  Since we have been made alive in Jesus and have been raised up with Him, being one spirit with Him - EVERYTHING that is in Jesus is in us too!  His righteousness, life, joy, peace, love, compassion, power, wisdom, knowledge, authority and victory flows from His Spirit into our spirits!  Just as the resurrected Jesus is right now - we are too, in this world! Hallelujah! (1 John 4:17).  It’s time to see yourself as Jesus has made you to be - alive in Him and full of everything He is. You were raised together with Him, and made to be seated with Him, far above and victorious over every principality and power! Because of the finished work of the cross, this is your new identity in Christ Jesus!
