The Bible teaches us that the power of God is not only accessible to every born-again, child of God; it is, in fact, a vital part of our rich inheritance we have in Christ Jesus! In verse 14 of Ephesians 1, we learn that the Holy Spirit is the One Who makes this power operative in our lives. It says that the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance, causing us to have full possession of it! What is that inheritance? We just read it in verse 18 & 19, it's the "immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of God's power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength..." God's power in us is strong enough to influence and change the way we think and act, so that we think and act the way God does. When we do this, everything changes. God's priorities become ours, and His wisdom and discernment flow richly in us. We begin to see people from His perspective, and His compassion towards them moves us deeply, compelling us to reach out to them with His love. When we do this, the power of God that's flowing powerfully inside us, flows through us into their lives. We get to see His mighty, supernatural work being done right in front of our eyes! Healing, deliverance, broken hearts restored, are all part of the demonstration of God's power at work. It's time to turn the power up! Open your heart to a fresh infilling of the Holy Ghost power today. Welcome and embrace it as you spend time praying in the Holy Ghost. And believe God for opportunities to let that power flow! Praise God for our inheritance, made possible for us to live in right now!
