Mary certainly had reason to rejoice! She was chosen by God, to carry the Saviour of the world in her womb and raise Him as her own. The weight of that responsibility alone must have been overwhelming. The angel told Mary, the Holy Spirit would come upon her, and the power of the Most High would overshadow her. Then He declared, "...with God nothing is ever impossible and no Word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment." Mary responded, "Let it be done to me according to your word." She completely believed the Word the Lord had given her, and that filled her with supernatural peace and joy to accept and complete the purpose of her life. Let the promises of God instill that same confidence you today, as you take Him at His Word.
